Janet Weiss Shares Update Following Car Accident
Former Sleater-Kinney drummer (and current drummer for Quasi and Slang) Janet Weiss has shared an update after she was injured in a car accident last week.
In a new social media post, Weiss revealed that after five days in the hospital, she is settling in at home and "basking in the overriding feelings of luck and gratitude that [partner and Quasi bandmate Drew Grow] and I survived the accident."
She thanked her family, friends, music and film communities, and fans for their support.
Weiss also revealed that she will be wheelchair-bound for the next three months, but said that her online networks of friends are encouraging her to complete physiotherapy and get healthy and strong again.

"Three months in a wheelchair is going to be a challenge, but you all inspire me to do my PT, rest up, stay healthy and get strong," she wrote. "I dream about playing the drums again."
She even shared a graphic image of her stitched up leg.

As previously reported, Weiss' upcoming tour dates with Quasi and Slang have been cancelled.
